My Story
I first became acquainted with the harmonica during high school. After entering university, I met more harmonica people and started various harmonica events and performances to promote the instrument. At the same time, a few friends and I formed an ensemble called Brain Horizon. We participated in numerous harmonica competitions and achieved great success. One of them was the first prize in the adult ensemble category 10th Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival (APHF). Meeting with harmonica friends from all over the world during the festival has expanded my horizons.
Later, taking over the harmonica club of Taipei Municipal Xing’an Elementary School from Ming-Hsien started off my harmonica teaching career. Since then, I have been invited to coach the harmonica clubs at Dunhua Elementary School, Ming Chuan University, Datong Elementary School, Yu De Elementary School, Chulin Elementary School, New Taipei Municipal AnKang High School, Chang Gung University and so forth. Students actively engaged in multiple competitions abroad and also nationally at Seoul International Harmonica Festival (SIHF) and Taiwan Harmonica Music Competition (THMC). Each year, they would perform at the joint concert organised by Sirius Harmonica Education System. Apart from that, I formed the Punch Harmonica Ensemble with friends and joined the Sirius Harmonica Ensemble after moving to Taipei. And my busy musical life kicked in.
